Updated: October 8, 2016

Now is the time to research as much as possible about available scholarships and grants for 2017 and even 2018. Books can provide a lot of handy information in one place.

Some books go beyond just listing scholarships, and also cover tips and advice about how to submit your application to give yourself the best chance of success in gaining a scholarship.

While these books are certainly not a necessity, if you’re someone who likes to have a whole bunch of information and resources at your fingertips then they do provide an easy and convenient way to access a considerable amount of listings and advice in print form.

There are a lot titles out there on the subject, but I’ve researched and chosen only the best ones to talk about here. When you’re looking for scholarships and wanting advice on how best to apply for them, you don’t need fluff and filler in a book, but one that gets to the point by providing the data you’re looking for in an easy to reference format.

As a single mother or an an adult wanting to head back to school, you will find specific scholarships that are aimed at your circumstances, such as scholarships for moms, and scholarships for women.

There are also many more general scholarships based on other criteria, and these are also well worth looking into and applying for if you meet the eligibility requirements. These books will help you work out these requirements, so you can have a list of grants and scholarships that you can focus on submitting your application for, and not waste time on offers that might not suit your situation or needs.

This can sure be a hot topic. I am 100% sure my children will be paniyg for their college education, cell phones, etc. Dee and I have been working on paniyg off debt for years, including student loans. We have everything paid off but our house, and have over 6 months salary in the bank.My college experience has taught me that those who pay their own way, usually work harder. I witnessed too many college students skipping or failing class and partying instead of putting the effort into their education. Majority of these students had a credit card from Mom and Dad and a free ride to college, compliments of Mom and Dad. We have already begun the work on our kids, but see that they manage and spend their money differently and more cautiously than when I hand it over.
